Job Summary

We are looking for a Deputy Manager to support the growth and development of our branch, working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day management of our care operations. As a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for deputising for the Registered Manager, ensuring services are delivered within legislative frameworks, and liaising with local authorities and third parties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deputise for the Registered Manager, as and when required
  • Ensure services are delivered within current legislation, Cera Care policies, and local authority safeguarding procedures
  • Liaise with local authorities, social workers, and other third parties
  • Support Team Leaders with management queries
  • Ensure KPIs are achieved by the local council, Cera Care
  • Support with HR investigations and disciplinary procedures
  • Ensure stock levels of uniforms, PPE, and stationery are maintained
  • Support with On Call duties, as per business needs
  • Provide/produce reports and information as requested by the management team/personnel and Commissioners, within agreed timescales
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a regulated care environment
  • Registered with SSSC (Scotland only)
  • Knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act
  • Leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing teams and overseeing budgets
  • Knowledge of working within a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Experience of working with service users who have additional support or complex needs
