Job Summary

The Deputy Manager will play a key role in the day-to-day management of our care operations, working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality services. This is an exciting opportunity for a natural leader who is passionate about delivering excellent care and has a strong commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deputise for the Registered Manager as required, ensuring continuity of service delivery.
  • Ensure services are delivered within the current legislation framework, statutory guidance, and local authority safeguarding procedures.
  • Liaise with local authorities, social workers, and other third parties to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Support the Registered Manager in the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the individual needs of our service users.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the care service.
  • Support with HR investigations and disciplinary procedures, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.
  • Ensure stock levels of uniforms, PPE, and stationery are maintained, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Support Team Leaders with any management queries, providing guidance and coaching as needed.
  • Support with On Call duties as required, ensuring the continuity of service delivery.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a regulated care environment is essential.
  • Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act and its implications for care service delivery.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
