Datacentre Facilities EngineerWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Datacentre Facilities Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our critical data centers.
Responsibilities- Assist with the construction and deployment of new data center facilities.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for data center equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of data centers, including both wired and wireless infrastructure.
- Monitor performance metrics and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Develop and maintain documentation for all assigned activities.
- Oversee the maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems within data centers.
- Manage inventory and regulatory compliance for all assigned assets.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries and site visits.
- Develop strong relationships with customers, landowners, and vendors.
- Prepare reports and analyze operational data.
- Lead the response to incidents and major service interruptions.
- Plan and manage resources for facilities and data centers.
- Ensure the security of all IT resources and sensitive information.
- Manage data center space inventory.
- Proven experience in data center operations and maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of data center systems, protocols, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in CDCDP or equivalent preferred.
- Familiarity with IP networking is a plus.
