Datacentre Network Engineer

Zayo Group Holdings, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Datacentre Engineer to join our team. As a Datacentre Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our datacentre networks, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and maintain the health of our datacentre networks, including DWDM, SDH, Dark Fibre, and IP circuits.
- Investigate and resolve network faults, ensuring minimal downtime and meeting service level agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external customers to provide regular updates on fault progress and resolution.
- Manage and maintain relationships with external contractors and suppliers to ensure timely and effective fault resolution.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of network technologies, including DWDM, SDH, and IP networks.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in network operations and maintenance.
- 2-4 years of experience in a NOC environment, with a proven track record of accomplishment in an operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of DWDM, Fibre, and Optical equipment.
- Experience in a multi-vendor environment, including Ciena, Cisco, Huawei, Marconi, Juniper, ADVA, Alcatel, Bandwidth Managers, Lambda unite, and Nokia.
- Knowledge of OSP practices, including basic OTDR analysis and fibre repairs.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic and analytical approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers.
