Vulnerable Care Advocate

As a Vulnerable Care Advocate with Suffolk County Council, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people who are experiencing crisis situations. As a Casual Duty Supervisor, you will work closely with families, providing critical support and guidance during difficult times.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of safeguarding, preferably with both children and adults. You will be required to make judgment calls on escalated queries, work on call, and support young people and their families who are under stress and/or in crisis.
Key Responsibilities- Providing emotional support to young people and their families
- Making decisions on escalated queries
- Collaborating with other professionals to provide comprehensive support
- A qualified Social Worker or Nurse with Grade 7 post experience
- Extensive experience of safeguarding preferably with both children and adults
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
