About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Photographer to join our Photo Studio team at Next. As a key member of our creative team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality visual content that reflects our brand principles and creative direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide creative guidance and support to the studio team, ensuring that all visual content meets the highest standards.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of current trends and lighting techniques, staying ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving world of photography.
  • Collaborate with other Senior Photographers to ensure consistency and excellence in all photographic sets.
  • Oversee multiple photographic sets to ensure quality and output meet the required standards.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members, ensuring they are motivated and supported to achieve their best work.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of junior team members.
  • Work closely with the Creative Lead to establish clear goals and objectives, ensuring that all visual content aligns with the company's creative vision.
  • Flexibility to work at other Next studios, external studios, and on location when required.

About You

  • Previous management experience is preferred, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
  • Expert knowledge of photography, retouching, and lighting techniques is essential.
  • High competence in using Photoshop and Capture One, with experience in various lighting kits, including Profoto and continuous lighting.
  • Working knowledge of Canon and MAC Operating systems is required.
  • Assertive and constructive in directing models on set, with a strong understanding of current trends and lighting techniques.
  • Experience working within a large creative studio environment is essential.
  • Thorough understanding of current trends and lighting techniques, with a forward-thinking and innovative approach to all projects.
  • Superior planning, workload management, and organizational capabilities are required.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills are essential.
  • Creative flair and knowledge, producing innovative ideas and solutions, is a must.
  • A strong communicator and listener, with a commercial mindset and awareness of retail fashion and lifestyle trends.
  • Experience in E-commerce and editorial photography is essential, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • A supporting portfolio or website is required, with exemplary attention to detail and a full UK driving license.
