We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Photographer to join our Photo Studio team at Next. As a Senior Photographer, you will be responsible for leading a team of photographers and freelancers to deliver high-quality visual content that reflects our brand's creative vision and direction.
Key Responsibilities- Provide creative guidance and support to the studio team, ensuring that all visual content meets the highest standards of quality and creativity.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of current trends and lighting techniques, and apply this knowledge to create innovative and engaging visual content.
- Collaborate with other Senior Photographers to ensure consistency and excellence in all visual content.
- Oversee multiple photographic sets to ensure that the quality and output meet the required standards.
- Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure that the team is motivated, supported, and effective in delivering high-quality visual content.
- Communicate effectively with the Creative Lead to establish clear, recognizable, and achievable goals.
- Previous management experience is preferred, but not essential.
- An expert knowledge of photography, retouching, and lighting techniques is essential.
- An extremely high competence in using Photoshop and Capture One is required.
- Experience in various lighting kits, including Profoto and continuous lighting, is essential.
- Working knowledge of Canon is required.
- Assertive and constructive in directing models on set.
- Working knowledge of video is preferred.
- Confidence in training others on photographic and retouching techniques.
- High competence in using MAC Operating systems.
- A strong leader, who can manage, inspire, and develop a team.
- Experience working within a large creative studio environment.
- Thorough understanding of current trends and lighting techniques.
- Forward thinking, innovative, and proactive in approach to all projects.
- Superior planning, workload management, and organizational capabilities.
- Highly developed interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Creative flair and knowledge, producing innovative ideas and solutions.
- A strong communicator and listener.
- It is essential to be commercially minded and aware of retail fashion and lifestyle trends. Comfortable with a highly pressured and rapidly changing environment.
- Experience in E-commerce and editorial photography is essential.
- At least 5 years relevant experience.
- A supporting portfolio or website.
- Exemplary attention to detail.
- Full UK driving license.
