About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Hair & Make-up Artist to join our Photo Studio team at Next.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hair and make-up services for our in-house photography shoots.

You will work closely with our Creative Lead and Senior team to ensure that our photographic vision and creative beliefs are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement creative hair and make-up concepts for our photography shoots.
  • Collaborate with our stylists, photographers, and freelance talent to ensure a cohesive and high-quality visual outcome.
  • Oversee the hair and make-up on multiple studio shoots, ensuring that each model's requirements are met.
  • Manage and maintain necessary supplies and equipment, including stock control.
  • Create briefs and moodboards to reference hair and make-up ideas in line with trends, product categories, and season.
  • Adhere to style guides and briefs set by our products teams or studio management.
  • Work across various shoots, including WWR and MWR, and be proactive and attentive on set throughout the day.

About You

  • Excellent knowledge of makeup products, techniques, and technologies.
  • A passion for fashion with experience in both model and product-only shoots.
  • Experience working within a large creative studio environment.
  • Forward thinking, innovative, and proactive approach to all projects.
  • Superior planning, workload management, and organizational capabilities.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Creative flair and knowledge, producing innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Commercially minded and aware of retail fashion and lifestyle trends.
  • Comfortable with a highly pressured and rapidly changing environment.
  • A strong communicator and listener.
  • Experience in E-commerce and editorial hair & make-up are essential.
  • Competence using MAC Operating systems & G-suite.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience.
  • A supporting portfolio or website.
  • Exemplary attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving license (Beneficial).
