About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Hair and Makeup Artist to join our Photo Studio team at Next.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality imagery that aligns with our brand principles and creative direction.

You will work closely with our Seniors and Creative Lead to ensure that all content meets the highest standards.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of current trends, styles, and technologies in the fashion industry.
  • Collaborate with our team to evolve the aesthetics of our imagery and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Research and stay up-to-date on the latest makeup and hair techniques, products, and technologies.
  • Work closely with our stylists, photographers, and freelance talent to ensure seamless execution of shoots.
  • Oversee the hair and makeup on studio shoots, ensuring that each model's requirements are met and that the final product exceeds expectations.
  • Manage necessary supplies and equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our brand's style guides and briefs.
  • Communicate effectively with our team to establish clear goals and objectives.
  • Flexibility to work at other Next studios, external studios, and on location when required.
About You
  • Excellent knowledge of makeup products, techniques, and technologies.
  • A passion for fashion with experience in both model and product-only shoots.
  • Experience working within a large creative studio environment.
  • Forward thinking, innovative, and proactive approach to all projects.
  • Superior planning, workload management, and organizational capabilities.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Creative flair and knowledge, producing innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Commercially minded and aware of retail fashion and lifestyle trends.
  • Comfortable with a highly pressured and rapidly changing environment.
  • A strong communicator and listener.
  • Experience in E-commerce and editorial hair and makeup are essential.
  • Competence using MAC Operating systems and G-suite.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience.
  • A supporting portfolio or website.
  • Exemplary attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving license (beneficial).
