About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hair and Make-up Artist to join our Photo Studio team at Next.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hair and make-up services for our in-house photography shoots, ensuring that our brand's creative vision is brought to life.

You will work closely with our Senior team and Creative Lead to develop and implement innovative ideas and solutions that meet the needs of our customers and align with our brand principles.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and proactive individual who is passionate about fashion and has a strong understanding of makeup products, techniques, and technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of current fashion trends, street style, and social movements to inspire and inform your work.
  • Collaborate with our stylists, photographers, and freelance talent to create cohesive and visually stunning imagery.
  • Oversee the hair and make-up on multiple studio shoots, ensuring that each model's requirements are met and that the Next brand is consistently represented.
  • Manage and maintain necessary supplies and equipment, including stock control and cleaning of equipment and products.
  • Communicate effectively with your Seniors and Creative Lead to establish clear goals and objectives.
  • Adhere to style guides and briefs set by product teams or studio management.
  • Flexibility to work at other Next studios, external studios, and on location when required.
About You
  • Excellent knowledge of makeup products, techniques, and technologies.
  • A passion for fashion with experience in both model and product-only shoots.
  • Experience working within a large creative studio environment.
  • Forward thinking, innovative, and proactive approach to all projects.
  • Superior planning, workload management, and organisational capabilities.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Creative flair and knowledge, producing innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Commercially minded and aware of retail fashion and lifestyle trends.
  • Comfortable with a highly pressured and rapidly changing environment.
  • A strong communicator and listener.
  • Experience in E-commerce and editorial hair and make-up are essential.
  • Competence using MAC Operating systems and G-suite.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience.
  • A supporting portfolio or website.
  • Exemplary attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving license (Beneficial).
