Job Summary: We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our client's team in Brighton or Chatham. As a key member of the commercial delivery team, you will be responsible for leading the commercial management of project performance and developing commercial strategies for pre-works orders & construction phase.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading integrated design and build solution provider operating in the water sector. You will lead the commercial delivery teams and core team commercial functions for the CMDP business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial management, including contract negotiation, risk management, and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement commercial strategies for pre-works orders & construction phase.
  2. Lead the commercial team in the tranche programme.
  3. Review commercial resource levels with the Programme Manager for effective delivery.
  4. Advising on commercial resourcing requirements.
  5. Supporting recruitment of commercial resources.
  6. Providing contractual and commercial training to CMDP staff.
  7. Reviewing and developing commercial processes and procedures.
  8. Deputising for the Senior Commercial Manager as required.
