Job Overview

We are excited to announce the creation of a new role within our community mental health function, which will allow clinicians to dedicate their time to working with individuals experiencing mental health crises in the community, 24 hours a day.

Our team provides timely rapid response assessments and home treatment interventions to individuals requiring urgent mental health services. The Rapid Response Shift Coordinator is a critical role that works 24/7, receiving calls from the Urgent Mental Health Helpline and coordinating Gate-keeping assessments.

This permanent post has responsibility for county-wide referrals and requires individuals with experience working with people with a wide range of mental health conditions. The ideal candidate will be competent and confident in their abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordination of referrals from Urgent Mental Health Helpline
  • Coordination of Gatekeeping assessments
  • Effective communication with Rapid Response Clinicians
  • Management and coordination of lone working processes
  • Use of Electronic patient information systems

The successful candidate will be required to work shifts including nights, bank holidays, and weekends, and be able to undertake physical intervention training to support other teams with KMPT.
