Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a skilled Child Welfare Specialist to join their Assessment Team in Apsley, Hertfordshire. This full-time position comes with a competitive salary of up to £42,503 per annum.

The ideal candidate will possess a Social Work Degree or equivalent and be registered with Social Work England. Key responsibilities include safeguarding and promoting the welfare of disabled children/young people, planning and carrying out social work practice, managing risk, and maintaining accurate knowledge of skills and resources.

  • Plan, carry out, review, and evaluate social work practice to ensure the best possible outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
  • Effectively manage risk to children, young people, families, carers, self, and others by implementing proactive strategies and collaborating with other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of skills and resources to provide high-quality support to clients.
  • Advise management on needs and resources within the community to inform service development and improvement.
  • Demonstrate professional competence in social work practice by adhering to HCPC codes of practice and contributing to assessment and supervision of students.
  • Work closely with other agencies within the community to ensure effective collaboration and information sharing.
  • Maintain County Policies on Equal Opportunities and Anti-Racism to promote a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Carry out other duties as defined by the Director of Children's Services, including supporting the team in achieving its goals and objectives.
