Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Child Protection Specialist to join our team in Hertfordshire, UK. The role involves managing social work practice, assessing needs, and involving children and families. As a key member of the Children Looked After Team, you will be responsible for developing integrated safeguarding plans in line with Working Together guidelines.


  • Manage and be professionally accountable for social work practice with supervision and support.
  • Assess needs thoroughly and develop comprehensive safeguarding strategies.
  • Engage children and families in meetings and listen to their views and concerns.
  • Maintain professional standards of conduct with children, families, and other professionals.
  • Collaborate with individuals and families to promote independence and extend their involvement.
  • Keep children and families updated on progress and build trusting relationships based on open communication.
  • Work closely with other agencies to support preventative strategies and promote community well-being.


Requirements: A Social Work Qualification or equivalent is required. Continual professional development and registration with Social Work England are also essential.
