Job Title: Deputy Manager for Children's Residential Care Group

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Eden Brown Synergy. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and managing staff, undertaking direct work with children and young people, and managing child protection concerns and complaints.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support and manage staff to enable them to meet the needs of children and young people
* Undertake direct work with children and young people as appropriate
* Manage child protection concerns and complaints
* Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people
* Offer supervision and support to other staff in line with Quality Standards

Requirements:

* Diploma Level 3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Willingness to complete Diploma Level 5 Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care
* At least 2 years' experience in a previous similar role as Deputy Manager in a LD Home for Children and Young People
* Experience of acting as an appropriate adult, interviewing, performing on-call duties and DSL/DSO

Knowledge and Skills:

* Knowledge of CHR 2015 and the QS, the Children Act and other relevant legislation
* Understanding the needs of looked-after children including managing challenging behaviour
* Team-building skills
* Supervision skills, ability to manage teams effectively and to motivate and enthuse staff
* Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with excellent organisational skills
* Counselling skills and Training skills
