Eastgrinsteadcourier is seeking an ambitious leader to manage the day-to-day operations of a Residential Children's Home in South East England.

The ideal candidate would be a strong, dedicated, and passionate manager, who is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and caring home environment for children and young people.

The purpose of this role is to ensure the Statement of Purpose is in place and is appropriate to the service provision, and to lead and manage a team in the Children's Home.

The successful candidate would be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, its service delivery, shaping and growth, as well as promoting a safe and supportive environment ensuring the best possible care is delivered to the children and young people at all times.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the Statement of Purpose is in place and is appropriate to the service provision.
  • Leading and managing a team in the Children's Home.
  • Providing high-quality care services that actively support the varying needs of the children and young people in the care of the home.
  • Providing motivational leadership and being a role model to the staff team.
  • Being responsible for the health & safety and home maintenance.
  • Complying with the Children's Home Regulation 2015, Quality Standards, Ofsted inspection framework, local authority's expectations, and the home Statement of Purpose.

Requirements:

  • A level 5 Management and Leadership Diploma in Health & Social Care, Residential Care for Children and Young People.
  • Within the last 5 years, worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children and worked for at least one year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role.
  • Knowledge of management of budgets and staff rotas.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, Ofsted Inspection framework, Children's Home Regulation 2015, Quality Standards.
