About the Role:

The Deputy Head of Year will support the Year Leader in the professional leadership and management of the year team and student cohort. The successful candidate will assist in managing, leading, and developing systems and procedures to enhance standards of achievement, behaviour, and personal development for all pupils in the year group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Year Leader in the leadership and management of the year team and student cohort
  • Assist in managing, leading, and developing systems and procedures to enhance standards of achievement, behaviour, and personal development for all pupils in the year group
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of school policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school improvement plans
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality teaching and learning

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a school or educational setting
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High expectations of pupil attainment and behaviour
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
