Deputy Head of Year Job Opportunity

Bishop Challoner Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Head of Year to support the Year Leader in the professional leadership and management of the year team and student cohort.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing, leading, and developing systems and procedures to enhance standards of achievement, behaviour, and personal development for all pupils in the year group.
  • Support the Year Leader in the professional leadership and management of the year team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote positive relationships between students, staff, and the wider community.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to student support and well-being.
Requirements:
  • High expectations of pupil attainment and behaviour.
  • A good track record of monitoring student progress to ensure all achieve.
  • Ability to inspire, challenge and motivate pupils.
  • A strong commitment to your professional development and career management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
