About the Role:
Vision for Education - Newcastle is seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to join our team. As a Learning Mentor, you will work with young people across Durham who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to allocated young people to develop their communication, social skills, and academic engagement.
- Adapt your mentoring style to create a safe and secure environment for young people to overcome barriers to their education.
- Work collaboratively with the school and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, young people, or adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- A passion for education and a commitment to helping others.
- A nurturing and engaging personality with excellent communication skills.
