Vision for Education are looking to recruit experienced Learning Mentors for a school in Durham to support pupils with SEMH needs.

**About the role**:
In your role as a Learning Mentor you will help the teacher in the delivery of the curriculum and ensuring all students are supported both academically and emotionally. You will be working with pupils experiencing barriers to learning, supporting students in becoming responsible, regulated, respectful and ready for the work place.

Applications are welcomed from anyone with a passion to improve the lives of young people that may not have had the best start, and who struggle with their mental health and behaviour.

**About the school**:
The school is based in Durham which is a fully inclusive place of learning which ensures that all pupils achieve their potential personally, socially, emotionally, physically and educationally. The school welcomes pupils from KS1 to KS4 from across the Borough when they are unable to attend mainstream school. This may be because they are permanently excluded or at risk of this, struggling to maintain attendance because of anxiety or crisis, or new to the local area and have Special Educational Needs. The pupils have challenging behaviour due to their Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs and require support.

**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of Learning Mentor you will:

- Previous experience of working with SEND children, young people or vulnerable adults with challenging behaviours
- A passion to improve the lives of hard to reach children

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
