A specialist Learning Hub in Durham are looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Mentor to work with young people across Durham who have who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

**About the role**:
In the role of a Learning Mentor, you will be allocated key young people who require additional support in developing their communication, social skills and academic engagement. You will be required to adapt your mentoring style to make the young person feel safe and secure, with the long term goal of overcoming barriers to their education.

You will work between the hours of 8.30am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday with the opportunity to work from home during the week. This Learning Mentor role will start out on supply but will lead to a permanent contract if you’re the right fit.

This is a specialist SEND School in Durham that provides education to children and young people who have specical educational needs.

**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of Learning Mentor you will:

- Experience of working with students with Autism or other additional needs
- A passion for education and helping people
- A nurturing and engaging personality

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

- Relevant experience
