The Role:

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at Vision for Education - Teesside - SEND. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work with students aged 8-16 who have Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs, as well as associated needs such as Autism or ADHD.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support students in small classes using behaviour management skills to assist them in overcoming barriers to learning.
- Mentor and engage with students, delivering specifically designed educational packages.
- Be confident in behaviour management skills to de-escalate any threatening or aggressive behaviour.
- Be resilient, empathetic, patient and not take things too personally.
- Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
