Position Overview

We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate specializing in Machine Learning and AI, with a focus on edge efficiency and explainable AI. This research initiative, spearheaded by Dr. Yang Long, aims to innovate in data analysis, optimization algorithms, and data security against adversarial threats.

The successful candidate will engage in high-caliber research within the realms of machine learning and AI, concentrating on:
  • Developing and implementing efficient edge computing solutions.
  • Creating interpretable machine learning models to advance explainable AI.
  • Enhancing optimization algorithms to boost model performance.
  • Addressing data security challenges, particularly in understanding and mitigating adversarial attacks.
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, contributing to research publications, participating in conferences, assisting in securing external funding, and mentoring junior researchers and students will also be key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate complex technical material effectively through presentations and discussions.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on research findings to diverse audiences.
  • Publish high-quality research outputs in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
  • Assist in formulating research objectives and proposals.
  • Conduct individual and collaborative research projects under the guidance of the Principal Investigator.
  • Identify new research areas and develop innovative research methodologies.
  • Address challenges impacting research objectives by proposing creative solutions.
  • Build relationships for future research collaborations.
  • Manage research activities and resources effectively.
  • Provide training in research techniques to peers and students.

Contract Duration
