Job Title: Guest Experience Director

Job Summary:

54, a leading sports and entertainment agency, is seeking a highly experienced Guest Experience Director to lead our events team in the EMEA & Americas region. As a key member of our Events division, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences across various events, including LIV Golf, the Aramco Team Series, and E1 Series.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team of events staff delivering Guest Experience elements of each event in the region.
  • Scope of Work and Standard Operating Procedures: Support the creation and ongoing update of Guest Experience Scopes of Work, Standard Operating Procedures, and workflow management pertinent to the region.
  • Team Recruitment and Development: Recruit and appoint Guest Experience permanent and freelance team members to fulfill event project delivery in the region.
  • Training and Upskilling: Provide necessary training and upskilling of all team members, and oversee the personal development and progression of permanent team members, in the region.
  • Employee Experience and Welfare: Ensure the welfare and positive employee experience of all Guest Experience staff in the region.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Chair team meetings, 1-2-1s, provide email updates, deliver and receive written and verbal feedback, present client updates, host team 'away days', contribute insights to senior management, cross-departmental collaboration with colleagues, and present to staff during company forums.
  • Insurance, Legal, and Health and Safety: Manage any insurance, legal, health and safety obligations associated with the team's responsibilities on events in the region.
  • Event Delivery: Overall responsibility for the successful and on-budget delivery of Guest Experience elements of events in the region.
  • New Business and Client Relationships: Support in the development of new business or host venue agreements in the region, and maintain client relationships in the region.

Requirements:

  • Seniority and Team Management Experience: Demonstrate seniority and a history of managing teams and client relationships.
  • International Events Experience: Large-scale international events experience, with specialist expertise in elements of Guest Experience such as hospitality, F&B, fan experience, accommodation, transportation, VIP programs, guest management platforms, and communications/CRM.
  • Relationship Management: Comfortable managing a variety of relationships and have the flexibility to travel internationally and work in different cultures.
  • Personal Motivation and Flexibility: Strong personal motivation and be comfortable working remotely and unsupervised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and collaborative attitude.
  • Professional Sports and Ecosystems: An interest in and understanding of professional sports and their ecosystems is advantageous.
