Job Title: Rail Safety Assurance Lead

This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team, ensuring compliance with essential safety and quality standards and contributing to high-stakes projects within the rail sector. We are seeking an experienced professional to lead safety assurance initiatives across critical rail infrastructure projects.

The estimated salary for this position is around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our company, Gearing Recruitment Solutions Ltd, offers a collaborative team environment dedicated to innovation and engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the application of CSM-RA (Common Safety Method for Risk Assessment) for project safety compliance.
  • Chair HazID Meetings and manage comprehensive hazard records throughout project life cycles.
  • Work closely with project engineers and design teams to ensure all safety and quality standards are met.
  • Provide safety assurance support to Contractor's Engineering Managers (CEMs) and advise clients on their obligations under CSM-RA and other safety legislation.
  • Promote engineering excellence and health, safety, and quality standards across all project teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualifications: Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering, ideally Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: In-depth knowledge of railway design, CSM-RA application, and proven experience in health and safety management within railway projects.
