Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Civils Project Director to lead our dynamic team at PACE Infrastructure Solutions.

A specialist in delivering high-quality earthworks, structures, buildings, and civils projects for the UK rail industry, our expertise lies in the seamless execution of complex lineside projects driven by an in-house team of multi-disciplined professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional results.

About the Role

This full-time position is based at our Tunbridge Wells office, overseeing projects across the Kent and Sussex regions. As a key leader within the business, the Senior Civil Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality, managing budgets efficiently, and driving adherence to project timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing all stages of construction projects to ensure efficient execution.
  • Managing project budgets and resources effectively.
  • Enforcing rigorous health and safety standards across all sites.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Monitoring and controlling project timelines to meet client expectations.
Requirements

We're looking for candidates who bring a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and hands-on experience. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven supervisory experience with strong project control capabilities.
  • Expertise in budgeting, resource allocation, and construction safety practices.
  • Demonstrated success in managing construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills to address challenges proactively.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership abilities to inspire and guide teams effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
  • SMSTS certificate or equivalent site management safety accreditation.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (preferred but not essential with equivalent experience).

The estimated salary for this position is £72,000 - £92,000 per annum.
