Children's Wellbeing Practitioner for Mental Health Support

We are seeking a highly skilled Children's Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work within our Psychological Medicine service, delivering high-quality, brief outcome-focused evidence-based interventions and guided self-help for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe post-holder will work under supervision, developing and implementing interventions to support children and young people. They will also attend university-based taught and self-study days, as specified within the agreed national curriculum.
About the RoleThis is a training role within the Children and Young People' Improving Access to Psychological Therapies programme (CYP IAPT). The post-holder will work in an inclusive, value-driven service, equipped with the necessary knowledge, attitude, and capabilities to operate effectively.
Requirements- Evidence of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties.
- Training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, counselling, or within a specific psychological therapy.
The post-holder will work in the service for the remaining days of the week, using their newly developed skills. They will also work from home, as required.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
