Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our Crisis and Home Treatment Service (CAHTS) in Swindon. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, comprehensive mental health services to children, young people, and their families who are experiencing complex mental health needs.
Our service is embedded within the Bath, North East Somerset, Swindon, and Wiltshire (BSW) Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and works closely with the Getting More Help Teams to support children, young people, and their families. You will be responsible for initial assessments and delivery of time-limited, short-term interventions to address emotional and mental health needs of young people in crisis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments and develop individualized plans to address the mental health needs of young people in crisis.
- Deliver time-limited, short-term interventions to support young people and their families.
- Liaise and collaborate with wider CAMHS, Children's Services, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support.
- Participate in a flexible working pattern, including core days, weekends, and bank holidays, as well as covering the service's 24-hour on-call service on a rota basis.
