We are seeking a talented Healthcare Data Specialist to join our team in the UK. As a Clinical Coding Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of healthcare data. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in medical terminology and coding practices.
ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for undertaking audits of clinically coded data, supporting the Clinical Coding Manager, and collaborating with clinicians and other staff members. You will also participate in preparing audit reports for staff audits undertaken and contribute to the development of clinical coding policies and procedures.
- Undertake audits of clinically coded data in line with NHS Digital's audit methodology and code of conduct.
- Support the Clinical Coding Manager and collaborate with clinicians and other staff members.
- Participate in preparing audit reports for staff audits undertaken.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as excellent knowledge and understanding of clinical coding rules and conventions. You should also possess excellent concentration skills, attention to detail, and a flexible approach to work.
