Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated nurse to join our team as an Advanced Stroke Care Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain professional registration and uphold the NMC code of conduct.
  • Provide evidence-based stroke specialist nursing services, responsive to users' needs, adhering to local protocols and national guidelines.
  • Demonstrate advanced practice skills in holistic assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of stroke patients.
  • Facilitate direct admission of patients to the hyper-acute unit, ensuring seamless transfer of care.
  • Act as a resource for medical, nursing teams, and other healthcare professionals, providing professional advice and support concerning stroke and TIA.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based protocols, documentation processes, standards, policies, and clinical guidelines.
Requirements:
  • NMC Registration on Part 1 or 12 of the Register.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Substantial management experience in speciality or related area at band 6 (or equivalent) or above.
  • Proven track record in service development and implementation of change.
  • Ability to analyse data and provide written reports.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the National agenda for the speciality, knowledge of quality standards, NICE Guidance, CQC, RCP Guidelines, and best practice. They will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £45,000 - £60,000, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including opportunities for career development and professional growth.
