Paediatric Occupational Therapist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled paediatric occupational therapist to join our team at North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a paediatric setting and will possess specialist knowledge in occupational therapy.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, specialist services to children and young people with difficulties related to fine motor skills, activities of daily living, or sensory needs.

Main Duties
  • Provide specialist assessments and treatment plans for children and young people with specific conditions.
  • Offer specialist advice, education, and training to parents, carers, and other professionals regarding the management and care of children and young people.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Professional qualification appropriate to the role.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Evidence of working in a paediatric setting and specialist knowledge.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary starting at 70% of the top of band 6 scale (£29,970 - £44,962 per annum).

Ongoing support and supervision are provided to ensure success in the role.

An 18-month development programme is available to work towards the band 6 competencies.

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately £33,428.80, based on a starting point of 70% of the top of band 6 scale.
