Child Development Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Child Development Specialist to join our paediatric therapy team. The successful candidate will work with children and young people aged 0-19 who live in the St Helens and Knowsley areas and have difficulties with their fine motor skills, activities of daily living or sensory needs.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to work in a development post from band 5 to band 6 within the paediatric therapy team. The post is offered as a traineeship under Agenda for Change terms and conditions: annex 21, with an amended starting salary (£31,383) and 18 month development programme to work towards the band 6 competencies.
The paediatric therapy team works in a variety of settings, including special and mainstream schools, clinics, and patients' homes. As a Child Development Specialist, you will be responsible for managing children and young people with particular conditions and providing specialist assessments and treatment plans.
You will work closely with other professionals, including parents, carers, and colleagues, to provide high-quality services to children and young people. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
We offer flexible working requests and consider applications from candidates who wish to work part-time. The estimated salary for this role is £38,899 per annum.
