About Abacus Consulting Co Ltd

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant - Ledger Management to join our team in Daventry. This role involves managing the sales ledger, purchase ledger, and banking functions, as well as ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Ledger: Raise and process sales invoices, operate an efficient credit control service, and maintain accurate records.
  2. Purchase Ledger: Verify purchase invoices with orders, reconcile against supplier statements, and prepare payment schedules.
  3. Banking: Maintain an up-to-date cash book, reconcile against bank statements, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  4. Nominal Ledger: Process regular and ad hoc journals, including accruals and depreciation, and allocate nominal accounts.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
