About the Job

This role as a Care Support Assistant is situated in Daventry, offering a wonderful living environment where residents can enjoy an enhanced quality of life.

We have a highly skilled team of staff who provide the highest level of dementia care and residential care services.

The care home features great accommodation and facilities along with a programme of activities, evoking a home from home atmosphere where residents feel comfortable, content and well cared for.

This position requires an enhanced DBS certificate at our cost due to its exempt status under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. It also involves a regulated activity subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check.

As a Care Support Assistant, you will support individuals in the local community with mental or physical disabilities, providing them with the necessary level of support including personal care, medication assistance, mealtimes, activity organisation and more.

The role is 36 hours per week (12-hour shifts), with alternate weekends and starting at 7:15 pm.

Your Key Accountabilities
  • You will work as part of a close-knit team to provide individualised care and support to residents with complex needs, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and health and social care needs.
  • You will need to possess a thorough understanding of good care principles, empathy, and discretion to effectively undertake this role.
  • You must show respect for people's diverse backgrounds and understand how this may impact the most effective way their care and support are delivered.
