About the Position

This role as a Dementia Care Support Assistant is situated in Daventry, offering a wonderful living environment where residents can enjoy an enhanced quality of life.

The care home provides a supportive and welcoming atmosphere where residents feel comfortable, content and well cared for.

This position requires an enhanced DBS certificate at our cost due to its exempt status under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. It also involves a regulated activity subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check.

As a Care Support Assistant, you will provide essential support to individuals in the local community with mental or physical disabilities, including personal care, medication assistance, mealtimes, activity organisation and more.

The role is 36 hours per week (12-hour shifts), with alternate weekends and starting at 7:15 pm.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • You will work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver comprehensive care and support to individuals with complex needs, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and health and social care needs.
  • You will need to demonstrate a solid understanding of good care principles, empathy, and tact to effectively carry out this role.
  • You must show respect for people's diverse backgrounds and understand how this may impact the most effective way their care and support are delivered.
