Personal Care Assistant

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs at West Northamptonshire Council's care home. Our care home provides exceptional levels of support in nursing, residential, and Dementia care.
Your primary responsibilities will include providing practical, personal, and emotional support to individuals with complex high individual support needs, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and health and social care needs. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that all those we support are living their best lives.
Key Responsibilities- You will provide support with daily tasks such as washing, dressing, and medication management.
- You will help individuals choose their clothing and deliver personal care including washing them or brushing their teeth.
- You will assist with mealtimes, organize activities, and generally ensure that all those we support are comfortable, content, and well cared for.
- You will require a satisfactory enhanced DBS, which we will provide.
- You will need to demonstrate good care principles, sensitivity, and discretion when working with individuals who have varying backgrounds and needs.
- You must be able to show respect for people's different backgrounds and understand how this may affect the way their care and support is best provided.
- Generous annual leave entitlement starting at 28 days per year (29 days for senior managers) plus bank holidays.
