Fleet Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Advisor to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a key member of our Fleet Services department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet of vehicles and trailers.
Key Responsibilities:- Scheduled Maintenance: Coordinate and manage scheduled maintenance activities to ensure compliance with manufacturer parameters and operational requirements.
- Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best possible prices for maintenance and repairs, while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Breakdown Management: Respond to and resolve vehicle breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and ensuring the safety of our drivers and the public.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and guidance to drivers, operators, and other team members to ensure the optimal performance and maintenance of our fleet.
- Cost Control: Analyze and manage maintenance costs to ensure they are in line with budgetary requirements, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Experience: Proven experience in HGV vehicle maintenance and repairs, with a strong understanding of supplier management and cost control.
- Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Education: Relevant qualifications in a related field, such as transportation management or logistics.
