About the Role:
The Fleet Advisor position at Gregory Distribution is a key role within our Fleet Services department, responsible for managing the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles and trailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to ensure compliance with operational requirements and manufacturer specifications.
- Process invoices and purchase orders, allocating costs to the business and ensuring accurate financial records.
- Provide technical assistance and support to drivers and operators, minimizing vehicle downtime and ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate the best value for maintenance and repairs, while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate and monitor roadside breakdowns, including refrigeration, tires, and ancillary equipment.
- Provide advice and guidance to drivers and operators on maintenance solutions and best practices.
- Collaborate with the team to provide technical support and expertise.
Requirements:
- Experience in HGV vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Proven track record in supplier management and cost control.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Computer literacy, with proficiency in MS packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
