Account Director Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Account Director to join our team at D R Newitt Recruitment. In this role, you will be responsible for managing major accounts and driving business growth across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with key customers to develop and maintain strong relationships, identifying opportunities for growth and implementing effective strategies to achieve business objectives.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that offers the opportunity to take on a high level of autonomy and responsibility. As an Account Director, you will lead on multiple projects and manage a portfolio of key customers, working in a matrix management style structure.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A deep understanding of the UK market, including knowledge of supplying ingredients and selling into UK retailers or selling ingredient solutions;
  • Demonstrable food passion and knowledge of protein processors;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders;
  • A willingness to travel and adapt to changing circumstances;

In return, we offer a competitive salary circa £70,000, plus car allowance or equivalent benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional development and career progression.
