Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Leonardo. As a key member of our Programme Management team, you will be responsible for delivering multiple complex and interdependent projects, utilising strong internal and external customer-facing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee a series of inter-related and co-dependent projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to schedule, cost, and quality standards.
  • Identify and manage dependencies, risks, and opportunities, ensuring effective project risk and opportunity management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Provide regular project status updates to IPT Lead and/or Sector VP, and present project summary status at Sector and Line of Business project reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to Company's Lifecycle Management (LCM) processes, as appropriate and tailored to suit.
  • Liaise with Development and Production Managers, as required, to ensure projects are appropriately resourced to achieve successful execution.
  • Accountable for contract and project milestone delivery, ensuring timely and effective project closure.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplined teams, including Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Planning, Manufacturing, and Operations.
  • Experience with complex programmes in a military environment, with a proven track record of delivering complex export projects.
  • Ability to operate with multiple senior stakeholders, with strong customer relationship skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in all aspects of project planning, scheduling, work package management, sub-contract management, and cost control.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent, with a flexible and adaptable approach to change and adversity.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and initiative, with the ability to think laterally.
