About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our Independent Sales Team at Brakes. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building and leveraging strong customer relationships, growing and retaining customers, and delivering profitable volume growth versus targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their plans for growth and adding value through a wide range of practical solutions and products.
  • Business Development: Work proactively with the Business Development Manager to understand new customer requirements and ensure a successful handover.
  • Competitor Analysis: Understand competitor activity and proposals, ensuring you are always offering customers the best local solutions.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Act as a brand ambassador for Brakes in your local market, promoting our award-winning products and services.
  • Target Achievement: Deliver profitable volume growth versus targets, driving business growth and success.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be highly service-focused, putting the customer at the heart of everything you do. You will also need to be tenacious and resilient, with a drive and determination to succeed. Additionally, you will need to be self-motivated, seeking continuous improvement and leveraging a diverse range of skills and experience.
