As a Transmission System Modelling Expert at ENGINEERINGUK, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our high-voltage electricity transmission network across the north of Scotland.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, support and guide a team of policy analysts, specialist power system engineers and data analytics modellers to create a strong, multi-skilled team dedicated to producing best practice in the energy modelling landscape.
- A deep understanding of energy technologies and energy system models and how these relate to and perform in the power system.
- Quantitative analytical capability, with the ability to handle and analyse large quantities of data and support your team in this aspect.
- In-depth knowledge of the GB energy industry structure, including markets, economics of transmission investment and networks regulatory framework.
- Nationally recognised subject matter expert in one or more areas relevant to Transmission System Planning and Investment.
- Proven ability in building and supporting a skilled team, naturally creating an inclusive environment that enables development and innovative idea generation.
