Electricity Network Strategist

SSEN Transmission is a leading player in Scotland's net zero ambitions. As our Lead Manager, Energy System Modelling, you will develop and maintain our GB energy system model, providing critical insights into strategic planning of the electricity transmission system.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain the GB energy system model to inform robust transmission system requirements analysis within the GB energy context.
- Conduct energy system modelling to understand the role of energy technologies and innovative market arrangements in network plans.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advise on industry, technology, and national factors impacting network plans.
- Engage with stakeholders on current and future energy technology representation in energy systems modelling.
- Lead a team of policy analysts, specialist power system engineers, and data analytics modellers.
Salary Range: £55,200 - £83,000 per annum, plus a performance-related bonus and benefits package.
