Transmission Network Expert

In this role as Lead Manager, Energy Technology Models and Markets, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to achieve net zero by 2050. You will work closely with our Senior Manager, Energy Futures and other stakeholders to develop innovative solutions for the energy sector.
Your responsibilities will include maintaining a strong understanding of energy technology landscape and best practice, including applicable technical policy and peer activity, and how this might impact on SSEN Transmission. You will also gather data and evidence to understand energy users' behaviours and market conditions that impact upon supply and demand.
As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from developing future energy scenarios to improving the reliability of our transmission network. You will be expected to contribute to developing credible future electricity system operation backgrounds aligned with government policy ambitions and targets.
Salary: £70,000 - £100,000 + performance-related bonus. Benefits include 34 days annual leave entitlement, enhanced maternity/paternity leave and discounted healthcare.
