Operational Excellence Manager Wanted:

We are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and efficiency across our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Optimize financial performance by improving billable hours and cash generation.
  2. Lead operational teams, providing strategic direction and performance monitoring.
  3. Design and implement staff training programs to enhance employee skills and productivity.
  4. Oversee staff relations, including employee conflicts and performance reviews.
  5. Support business growth by assisting with interviewing and induction processes.
  6. Effectively manage resources to meet current demands and plan for increased demand.
  7. Provide ongoing support and assistance with operating functions.
  8. Open and staff new offices (if any).
  9. Carry out due diligence on candidates for all roles before an offer is made.
  10. Review and improve internal systems and procedures.
  11. Expand the culture of innovation within the firm.
  12. Collaborate with the internal compliance team on regulatory matters.
  13. Manage aged debts effectively.
  14. Enhance financial reporting and support operational improvements.

Requirements:

  1. Proven track record as a Chief Operating Officer or similar role in a law firm.
  2. Minimum 2-5 years' experience working in a law firm, regulatory environment in a senior finance role employing at least 25 staff, and reporting directly to the partnership/professional services environment.
  3. Deep understanding of financial management, legal finance, and cashiering, Solicitors' Accounts Rules, SRA, and other regulatory compliance.
  4. Excellent commercial awareness and interpersonal/relational skills.
  5. Recognized accounting qualification.
  6. Proficient in using Office 365.
