About the Role

We are recruiting for a Media and Communications Officer to lead our media and public relations activity, increasing the profile of our organisation across consumer, stakeholder and education communications. This role will be line managed by the Marketing Communications Manager and work closely with leadership and senior management to produce engaging content for various channels.

Responsibilities
  1. Deliver media and public relations activities to support our strategic plan.
  2. Increase our organisational profile across various communications channels.
  3. Produce engaging content for multiple channels, including social media and e-newsletters.
  4. Lead our stakeholder strategy and manage media relations.
Qualifications and Requirements

We are looking for someone with a relevant degree-level qualification and experience in a PR and media relations role within education, charity, STEM-related or tourism/hospitality sectors. A demonstrable track record of leading and delivering against goals set in public relations campaigns is essential.

Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, as well as excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills, are required for this role.

Estimated Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
