Job Description

Glasgow Science Centre is seeking a highly skilled Media and Communications Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our media and public relations activity, increasing the profile of our organisation across consumer, stakeholder and education communications.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement effective media and public relations strategies to support our strategic plan.
  2. Manage our corporate communications, including social media and e-newsletters.
  3. Lead our stakeholder strategy and manage media relations.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a relevant degree-level qualification and experience in a PR and media relations role within education, charity, STEM-related or tourism/hospitality sectors. You should also have excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, as well as excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills.

An estimated salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum is available for this role.
