Pastoral Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Pastoral Manager to join our Secondary School team. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to young people, and the ability to liaise and communicate with outside agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the administrative duties within the pastoral department, focusing on attendance, pupil welfare, behaviour, and punctuality.
  • Support pupils and the pastoral team, providing administrative and organisational support to the school.
  • Process information in connection to attendance, welfare, behaviour, and communication.
  • Manage record keeping systems, databases, and processes.
Person Specification:
  • Good academics.
  • Previous experience working with children and young people.
  • Ability to build a good rapport with young people.
  • IT skills and computer literacy skills.
  • Previous admin experience is desirable.
  • A passion to work within an educational environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Working constructively as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail.
