Pastoral Support Officer Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pastoral Support Officer to join our team at a secondary school in Barnet. As a Pastoral Support Officer, you will play a vital role in promoting a nurturing atmosphere that encourages students to engage proactively in their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide a comprehensive support system for students.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a Pastoral Support Officer role or a similar position.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Confidence and competence in managing challenging behavior.
  • DBS clearance and the ability to work with vulnerable students.
