Senior Support Worker
We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Senior Support Worker in our South Manchester Mental Health Service. As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and care to adult females with severe and enduring mental health diagnoses.
The service provides 24-hour support, which requires staff to fulfill sleep-ins as part of their rota hours. You will work in collaboration with the women receiving a service, as well as in partnership with agencies involved in their support and care planning.
Key responsibilities will include providing practical assistance with daily living, supporting and delivering access to a wide range of activities that promote personal wellbeing, and day-to-day oversight of rotas and staffing needs as they arise.
Experience of supervising staff is desirable, and prior experience and possession of a relevant qualification are also desirable. Full training is provided, as is the opportunity to work towards a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
Benefits of working with Creative Support include a probationary bonus, pension contributions, 28 days Annual Leave, and company-paid enhanced DBS.
We are a passionate, inclusive, and anti-racist organization, proud to have been providing the service in Northenden for over 25 years. In 2016, the service remodelled from a residential service to support accommodation to meet the changing needs of women leaving hospital settings.
The role will involve working flexible shifts on a rolling rota to meet individual needs in a personalized way. You will be part of an established and experienced team, with excellent line management support and development from a CQC-registered manager.
This is an ideal opportunity to develop your career in leadership and management, with access to training and development to support your learning and growth.
